It's been a funny old year, country in political turmoil, pound at an all time low etc etc. As a former public sector worker, I've seen my job threatened more than once, my pension now at the mercy of a penny pinching cutthroat private sector employer, and new legislation that threatens our rights as citizens to fly our creations in public airspace. I read a snippet of an article on the BBC the other day that stated that "Drones are creating less freedom for low level airspace users such as balloonists and microlight flyers", a statement riddled with inequality and inaccuracy if ever there was one. Serves me right for listening to the BBC I guess.
Anyhow, they won't stop me flying, I don't fly anywhere near anybody else, I always take care to monitor the airspace that I fly in, and I have insurance to cover Murphy's law moments. I hope you all continue to do what ever it is you want to do Re building and flying model aircraft of all descriptions, and that you mitigate the risks in a professional way, don't be put off by kill-joy's, the airspace above us is for all citizens to enjoy, lets keep it that way.
Merry Christmas and happy building!
Best wishes for 2019
Andy P.S The procrastination title refers to my Phantom build, which I am determined to rekindle in the new year. :-)
